www.flickr.com. I love it. I have over 800 photos up now, and am adding more almost daily. From food, to felines, to pumpkins, Seattle, and more, I think I have about 25 sets of pictures.
There are interest groups that I have joined, like one for Western, the Moleskinerie, an even one I created for Tam’s Wedding. If you have photos, or just want to browse around the millions of photos on their site, I encourage you to check it out! If you have a Yahoo account, all you need to do is sign in!
My camera (rather, my parent’s old camera) sucks and only takes decent pictures outside in good light. The flash is horrible, so I try to take indoor photos without flash to preserve colour, only to end up with potentially blurry photos.

Yesterday I tagged along with the Robbs on an excursion to Best Buy with a newfound $50 gift card in tow. My mouse is a piece of crap, being the eMachines version that came with my computer four years ago. I decided to change that. I came across the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop on sale for $90. For me the selling feature was the mouse, an Intellimouse Explorer like the one Greg Skidmore had forever ago except with the advantage of wireless. The keyboard attractively quiet and has some features that I thought I’d never use, but I find myself enjoying them already! I can control videos from the comfort of my bed. Another selling feature is that it’s quite pretty - a nice combination of silver, black, and navy. I know it shouldn’t matter, but it does. After flustering the unknowledgable staff at store #936, I eventually got the last package (the floor model) with a 2-year replacement warranty at an incredible $50. I win.
While at Best Buy I had a chance to talk to a member of Geek Squad, the computer techies in Volkswagen Beetles. It’s no secret that I’ve been interested in the job for a while. It’d be great experience, though I need two licenses before I even apply: my A+ and a drivers’ license. It’s motivation to work on both - maybe I can apply for the job for September. Another reason to apply is that the guy said there is only ONE female Geek Squad employee in all of Canada. I want to be number 2.

The University of Western Ontario’s homepage has recently featured an ugly mug. As a very condensed sequence of events:
Terry (Boss): Laura, you’re graduating right?
Laura: Uhh.. yeah. Next week.
Paul (Photographer): We’re going to take some shots of you for the homepage.
Laura: Does this mean I have to shower?

The first from the homepage, the second from the attached article, and the third for all of you to remember me by. The parents are coming next Wednesday when I have to wear the robe for real. Afterwards we’re headed out with the Robbs and a Bentley to Michael’s on the Thames. My undergraduate career is over.
