My Simpsonization

Sure, the flash blips and beeps are as annoying as hell, and it doesn’t work 95% of the time, but if you’re patient - like I was - you, too, can get a Simpson version of yourself! Introducing Simpsonize Me, brought to you by the greasy folks at Burger King.

Upload a decently-large photo (not too large, as it doesn’t like that) of your mug, indicate a few settings, and then go watch a movie. Be prepared to wait a good 15-20 minutes for it to process. “But what about the countdown? It only says 20 seconds!” you say. Fool. This countdown will keep resetting itself to higher and higher numbers. But what do you care, you’re watching a movie! Patience, young padawan. You will soon be rewarded with a “tweak mode”, allowing you to make your character perfect. Yay!

My Schedule

How cool is Google Calendar? I’m such a Google minion.

Linky here. I was so happy to find a way to combine all my calendars; too bad I can’t colour code the shared version. Oh well.

My Flickr

Tags: Family, Flickr, Internet, Gadgets

www.flickr.com. I love it. I have over 800 photos up now, and am adding more almost daily. From food, to felines, to pumpkins, Seattle, and more, I think I have about 25 sets of pictures.

There are interest groups that I have joined, like one for Western, the Moleskinerie, an even one I created for Tam’s Wedding. If you have photos, or just want to browse around the millions of photos on their site, I encourage you to check it out! If you have a Yahoo account, all you need to do is sign in!

My camera (rather, my parent’s old camera) sucks and only takes decent pictures outside in good light. The flash is horrible, so I try to take indoor photos without flash to preserve colour, only to end up with potentially blurry photos.

My Purgatory

Tags: Flickr, Early Music, Internet, Music

It’s been a long, tough while since I last posted. August 2006 has been a dark, dark time. So many tears, so little sleep.

In other words, be thankful I’ve not posted here.

I’ve come to discover that the less pleased I am with life, the more I look for escapes. What are my escapes? Novels, projects, and online forums. I’ve read three books since I’ve returned from Seattle. I’ve started micromanaging things, like organizing my sheet music. But in doing so I somehow get nothing done. And I now post at both UGT (again) and v7n (also again). Is this therapy? Or is this promotion of depression? I haven’t discovered which it is yet, so I’ll stick with it.

My TSSS shirt is a LARGE men’s size large. To alter it professionally will cost nearly twice what I paid for it, so this week I will drag out Sarah’s sewing machine and do my worst. I’ve started posting pictures of the trip on Flickr, but I will have to wait until my pro account kicks in to upload the rest. I will share soon.
