I want to sing great music with great people for great audiences in great places. Is that too much to ask?
So for those of you who were unfortunate enough to miss Rajaton’s latest visit to Canada, I am so very sorry. Their performances were incredible. Sarah and I should know - we spent the two that we attended in the front row SO close to them. The best part? The private party with Rajaton that we attended after the end of Kaleid. You heard me. I shook hands with Hannu, chatted with Jussi, and breathed the same air as Rajaton.
Now those of you who know me well know I am hardly the groupie-type. I don’t scream. I don’t faint. But those who earn my respect leave me breathless. I wouldn’t say that I am unworthy of Rajaton - I think my work and my heart’s desires make me worthy - I just stand in awe of what they have done and are doing. They are doing what I want to do.
While looking around and almost spending over $150 in one fell swoop on their CDs (I will one day, it’s a matter of financial planning) I came across a Butterfly music video. I have to say it’s one of the funniest and most cheaply-made videos ever. It’s sad. Poor Ahti and Hannu get no camera time, and the lypsynching doesn’t match. I saved it to my computer anyway, - I take what I can get!
